The Food-Portion was big! We also had a lovely view from our table. Our waiter was such a nice person and he spoke a little bit of German and English which was awesome! Totally recommend this place :)
Best priced bouillabaisse in town. If you're a budget foody, like me, you're not going to spend over 50 euro on a bowl of soup (especially in the middle of summer)! It was only 32 euro which for me is still expensive but it's a bucket list dish when in Marseille. It's a traditional bouillabaisse which means it's just based on fish - no shellfish. I was a little preoccupied that it would be a hodgepodge of leftover mystery fishbits but I was pleased to see four whole fish filets, presented elegantly in the soup, including red mullet, sole, and John dorry. I thought the texture of the red mullet was a little soft but it all tasted proper and fresh. It needed a little salt and pepper and I would have liked to get more aromatics and spices coming through in the flavour but overall it was well done. It really made sense for me when I ate the soup together with the croutons and garlic aioli spread. I cleaned the bowl and they had to bring a second basket of toast (on the house)! In general, it was worth the experience, participating in the tradition of the iconic Marseille dish and I can say I definitely understand bouillabaisse after trying it there and I don't have buyers remorse - my expectations become almost unrealistic above 30 euro per plate. So, with that said, it's a fine way to try bouillabaisse without breaking the bank. Thank you for the experience.
Lovely. We had lunch there today. Food is delicious the only downside is that portions wasn't that big and I didn't want it to end. Our waiter was very polite with really good English which surprised us nicely. I noticed that most people here don't speak it. I didn't enjoy my margarita tho, it was made with syrup and not fresh lemon but I'll forgive that.
No matter how paradoxical but it is difficult to find a French restaurant in Marseille. A lot of kebab. But we tried and found a restaurant with real French port cuisine. A little dirty but it’s a port and that’s the whole atmosphere. It was so delicious that we came there twice.
I’m surprised by these negative reviews! This restaurant was easily one of my favorites from our France trip and we have been to many places! I got the Placha( seafood variety) dish and it was amazing! My husband got the Gnochi and it was also fantastic! For dessert I got the mini dessert plate: 5,90e and it comes with coffee. Our server was soooooo nice! This will be one of my favorite dinner experiences of France! I would recommend over and over!!! Btw, the prices are better than reasonable. Wow!
If you like seafood, then this place is for you. We were here on late dinner, after football match. Very quite place in good location opposite port. Service speak on English and very friendly. Octopus salad was big!
Great location. Nice food. We ate salmon tartar, shrimps, mussels and calamari. The service was amazing I really felt like a tourist on a holiday. I recommend it if you want to eat fresh sea food. It’s quite expensive but the quality is worth it. The atmosphere is really good with a sea view.
